The Holy Grail of Hair Care...

Olaplex was launched to great acclaim at the end of last year in the U.S. – everyone from top hairdressers to the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow is said to be a fan, hailing it as the ‘Holy Grail’ of hair treatments. Olaplex works by softening and revitalising the hair, even if hair has been repeatedly coloured and heat-damaged. Working differently to traditional deep conditioners and masks, Olaplex works by repairing the damage from the inside of the hair shaft.

The process…

Step One –

Using the clear yellow liquid called Bond Multiplier – this is responsible for repairing the hair bonds.
A mixture of 15ml Bond Multiplier with 90ml of water is applied directly to dry hair.

Note: For the treatment to work properly it is important to saturate the hair, therefore combing it through from the root helps to ensure each strand is properly covered.
Leave the Bond Multiplier on for five minutes before brushing stage two, the Bond Perfector, over the top.

Step Two –

This creamy white liquid looks more like traditional conditioner but contains the same active ingredient to repair any remaining bonds missed in step one, and help restore the strength and structure of hair. This is left to work for 10 minutes.

Step Three –

The final part of the Olaplex service is a small bottle of Hair Perfector, which is a take home product.
This white cream also contains Olaplex’s active ingredient, and can be used as a weekly pre-shampoo treatment. This helps to maintain the re-bonding process and keep hair in good condition until your next salon treatment.

How it works…

When Olaplex is added to colour in the salon, it dramatically reduces breakage to the hair shaft and also helping to make your colour last much longer.

As you can see from one of our clients in the salon (see left), the results just from one treatment of Olaplex are clear to see already with the condition of the hair.
